Limitless and Unconditional

The persistent global illusion strongly suggests for each of us . . .

The existence of a world “out there” filled with other people and things and situations and circumstances and emotions and ideas.
 
Physical objects and activities of the mind.
 
But each of these, without exception, is known to us solely through perception, sensation, and thought. Through what other means could we possibly know them?
 
In other words, we have no direct experience with other people and things and situations and circumstances and emotions and ideas.
 
Our direct experience is only and always the knowing awareness of perception, sensation, and thought.
 
The entire experience of the universe exists within.
 
There is no world “out there,” and no self that is separate from an “out there” world.
 
Who we truly are is the limitless, dimensionless space within which all our perceptions, sensations, and thoughts arise, linger for some duration, and then dissolve.
 
It is a space devoid of any quality, for even a quality would be a temporary known object of mental activity within it.
 
Therefore, it is a space of nothing but what we might call peaceful neutrality.
 
Another name for this infinite openness to all phenomena could be unconditional love.
 
We are a limitless, eternally peaceful space of unconditional love.
